Map Finishing Toolbox

Bentley Advanced Map Finishing is an MDL application that can be loaded by choosing Bentley Advanced Map Finishingin MDL Applications on the Utilities menu or by turning on Bentley Advanced Map Finishing Tools in the Bentley Advanced Map Finishing menu.

The Map Finishing Toolbox loads Bentley Advanced Map Finishing and provides a range of tools to create or modify elements and manipulate file order. Some tools add user data to elements specifically for Bentley Advanced Map Finishing. When generating a print file or displaying that file, Bentley Advanced Map Finishing uses this user data to control special PostScript effects available via Bentley Advanced Map Finishing.

Note: Most commands have grayscale and color options. Grayscale options are only valid when plotting in monochrome mode, or if the color Scales option is on in the Bentley Advanced Map Finishing Print Control dialog and the gray setting is used to modify the element color.

Most Bentley Advanced Map Finishing tools support the use of a fence to process multiple elements.

The Functions Toolbox , Line Caps Toolbox , Ordering Toolbox , Map Finishing Utilities toolbox , and Info toolbox can be torn off the main toolbox.

The Print button is the only single command in the Bentley Advanced Map Finishing toolbox. It opens the Bentley Advanced Map Finishing Print Dialog .
